Privacy policy
Last updated 18 October 2026
FameOS is a career platform for people in entertainment and the companies that hire them. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We don’t sell your personal data.
What we collect
- Account: your phone number (to sign you in with a one-time code) and your date of birth (to confirm you’re 18 or over). Your date of birth is never shown to anyone.
- Profile: your name, handle, photo, headline, bio, crafts and skills, languages, home city, availability, rates and the work you upload (photos, video, audio and links).
- Activity: roles you post, applications, saved items, messages, reviews, verified credits and Academy progress.
- Companies: the details you give about a company, agency or venue, and its showcase.
- Device: a push notification token if you allow notifications, and basic technical logs needed to keep the service secure.
We don’t collect your precise location, contacts, or advertising identifiers, and we don’t use third-party advertising trackers.
How we use it
- To run the service: matching you with roles and talent, delivering applications and messages, and showing your public profile.
- To keep people safe: verifying companies, reviewing postings, handling reports and preventing fraud and abuse.
- To send notifications you’ve allowed, such as application updates and messages.
Who can see what
- Your public profile (portfolio, crafts, city, verified credits and reviews) is visible to other members and, if you leave “Public profile link” on, to anyone with your link.
- When you apply, the hiring company or person sees your profile and your note.
- Messages are visible only to the people in the conversation, and to our safety team when a conversation is reported.
Service providers
We use trusted providers to run FameOS: Supabase (database, file storage and sign-in), an SMS provider to send sign-in codes, and Expo and Apple/Google to deliver push notifications. They process data only on our instructions.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account, your profile, uploads, messages, applications and progress are deleted. Verified credits you gave to other people stay on their profiles under your company’s name, so their work history stays true.
Your choices and rights
- Edit your profile or turn off your public link at any time.
- Delete your account in the app (Me → Delete my account) or see how to request deletion.
- Ask us for a copy of your data or to correct it by emailing privacy@fameos.com.
Age
FameOS is for adults (18+). We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we delete it.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we’ll tell you in the app. Questions: privacy@fameos.com.
